Requirements & compatibility
Category AJAX Filter needs a minimum WordPress and PHP version to run - the same for both Free and Pro.
In short
You need WordPress 6.0 or higher and PHP 7.4 or higher. There are no other server requirements, and Free and Pro need exactly the same versions.
Minimum versions
Check your site's WordPress and PHP versions from your hosting dashboard or under Tools → Site Health in wp-admin.
- WordPress 6.0 or higher
- PHP 7.4 or higher
Note
These requirements are identical for Free and Pro - upgrading to Pro doesn't need anything extra beyond what Free already needs.
Note
WooCommerce isn't required. Category AJAX Filter works with posts, pages and custom post types on its own. WooCommerce only needs to be active if you want to filter products, or use the modules and sort options that read product data such as price, stock and rating.
FAQ
Do Free and Pro have different requirements?
No - both need the same WordPress and PHP versions.
Do I need WooCommerce?
Only for filtering products. Posts, pages and custom post types work without it.
